Place a small amount of craft glue, about ½ teaspoon or so, in a slow container such as a yogurt lid, coffee can lid, jar lid. Refill as it gets low.
Step 4:
Take one square of dark green tissue paper and place it over the top of the pencil eraser with the pencil erase in the center of the square.

Fold the tissue paper down over the pencil so it more or less resembles a clump of leaves.
Step 6:
Use the pencil to dip the center of the tissue paper in the glue.
Step 7:
Glue the rest of the tissue paper squares onto the paper plate using the same method, interspersing the lighter green and red with the dark green which should be the main color.
Step 8:
Dot on red glitter glue or puffy paint in clusters of three or more to look as though they are holly berries.
Step 9:
Add jewels or sequins where desired.
Step 10:
Allow to dry completely and hang up.
Helpful Tips for Parents
Tip 1:
If using the pencil to apply the tissue paper is too difficult for your child, s/he can just wad it up and glue it on.
Tip 2:
Your preschooler can make smaller versions of this craft on circles cut from poster board or on a yogurt lid with the center cut out. These can be hung from the tree or your preschool can glue on a pin back to make it a Christmas pin.
