Terrarium Preschool Nature Craft
Preschoolers delight in growing things. Give them the chance to start some seeds in their own terrarium. Not only is this preschool nature craft easy to make it also educates your preschooler about how seeds germinate and grow root systems.
What You Need
2 Clear Plastic CupsTape
Sand
Potting Soil
Water
Grass Seeds
How To Make It
Step One:Put about an inch or two of sand at the bottom of one of the cups. Then fill to about an inch from the rim with potting soil.
Step Two:
Sprinkle seeds into the cup on top of the dirt. Add a little more soil then water.
Step Three:
Place the second cup upside down on top of the first cup and tape shut. Poke a couple of small holes in the top cup.
After 3 or 4 days, your preschooler will see the seeds begin to sprout. Have him/her check it daily and notice the changes. Soon he/she will begin to see roots forming.
Variations:
