Outdoor Toy Box

Do you look out at your backyard and see toys strewn about willy nilly? Well get those outside toys under control with this simple everyday preschool craft. Using waterproof bathtub decals you and your preschooler can decorate an ordinary plastic storage container and make it look extraordinary!

What You Need

1 large plastic storage tub – which ever size you think you need.
Some fun, whimsical, bathtub decals.

How to Make it

Step One:

Make sure that your storage tub is clean and dry.

Step Two:

Help your preschooler peel off the backing of the decals and begin sticking them on the plastic tub. Give them a little guidance if you find they are sticking them all in the same place.

Step Three:

Fill with outside toys!

Variations

You can use these same waterproof decals on other items that stay outside. Try using them as non-skid decals on your preschoolers play structure steps. (Clean the surface very well first and be sure that the decals stick well and will not cause a tripping hazard.) Or, you can decorate a kid size set of outdoor table and chairs.
