New Year Time Capsule Preschool Craft
Start a New Year’s tradition with your preschooler this year. Create a time capsule that your preschooler can personalize with his/her favorite items and memories from the past 12 months. You can use just about any sturdy container but a cookie tin (left over from Christmas!) works really well. Let your preschooler decorate the outside as well as the inside of the tin an don’t forget to include a photograph!

Step Two:
Using markers, be sure to put the year on the outside of the tin.
Step Three:
Add all of the special items you have collected over the past year that will be meaningful in the years to come. Put your time capsule in a safe place and in a few years, pull it out and remember times gone by.

Variations
You can use a larger container for this craft and continue to add to it every year rather than making a separate one each time. This will allow you to open it up and reminisce every New Year.Like this article? Get more like it in your inbox. Subscribe today to our free weekly newsletter.
