Yellow and Orange Construction Paper
Your Preschooler’s Hand
Markers
Glue
Scissors
Optional: Brads and wiggle eyes.
Trace your preschooler’s hands onto the yellow construction paper. Then cut them out. You will need one left and one right.
Step Two:
Cut an egg shape out of the yellow paper. This will be the body of the chick so make sure it is big enough to match the size of the handprint “wings.”
Step Three:
Cut out some legs/feet and a beak from the orange construction paper.
Step Four:
Glue it all together and draw on some eyes. As an option, you can attach the legs/feet and wings with brads so they can move and you can use wiggle eyes instead of using a marker to draw them on.
