Fingerprint Flashcards Educational Preschool Craft
Your preschooler may be able to recite the alphabet but can he/she write the alphabet? This Fingerprint Flashcard Educational Preschool Craft will get them started in recognizing letter forms and how to write them. It may be a little messy but you end up with a collection of flashcards you can use over again with your preschooler. What You Need
26 – 3”x5” Index CardsPencil
Stickers or Magazine Cut Outs
- Dog stickers for D card, etc.
How To Make It
Step One:Before you sit down to work on this with your preschooler, write one letter of the alphabet on each card with a pencil. Be sure to put both the upper and lower case so your preschooler can become familiar with both.
Step Two:Have your preschooler put his/her finger onto the stamp pad to “ink it up.” Then help them to trace the letter A. Older preschoolers will catch on and be able to trace them by themselves. You may have to guide the younger ones to avoid a mess.
Step Three:
Now you can choose stickers or magazine cut outs of things that start with each letter and put them on the back of the flashcards. When you’re done, you will have a set of flashcards for practicing the alphabet and your preschooler will have begun to learn how to write their letters.
