Craft Sticks
1 Wooden Spoon
Chenille Stem
Paint
Glue
Fine Tip Permanent Marker – such as a Sharpie
How To Make It
Step One:You may want to cut out these parts of the turkey before hand. Cut out a beak and upper and lower waddle.
Step Two:
Have your preschooler glue the craft sticks in a fan design onto a sheet of construction paper.
Step Three:
Let your preschooler paint the ‘feathers.’ Then glue on the wooden spoon to make the body.
Step Four:
Trim the chenille stems then bend them into legs and feet and glue into place.
Step Five:
Add the beak and waddles then draw in a couple of eyes with the Sharpie.
Step Six:
After the turkey is all dry, ask your preschooler what he/she is thankful for this year and write it on the turkey ‘feathers.’
Variations
You can make this craft even easier if you purchase already painted craft sticks. Make one every Thanksgiving as a memento of what your preschooler was thankful for each year.
