Craft Stick Snowflake ©mcmath2007Snowflakes are a symbol of winter and the holiday season. Here is an easy preschool craft that will bring the sparkle of a snowflake indoors. Help your preschooler make several and use them to decorate your windows or hang on your Christmas tree as ornaments. And remember, no two snowflakes are alike so get out plenty of sparkly craft supplies and let your preschooler create some beautiful, unique crafts.

What You Need

Difficulty Level 1 out of 5Grandparent Friendly Craft3 Craft Sticks for each snowflake
White Glue
Glitter, Buttons, Sequins, Craft Jewels, etc.

How To Make It

Step One:
Glue craft sticks in a criss cross pattern and let dry.

Step Two:
To make the glitter snowflake, cover the snowflake base with glue then sprinkle on the glitter. Let dry and embellish with other sparkly things.

Step Three:
To make the button snowflake, choose red, green and white buttons and let your preschooler glue them onto the snowflake base in an interesting pattern or any way they choose.

Step Four:
To make the jeweled snowflake, simple glue the jewels onto the snowflake base.

Step Five:
Be sure to write your preschoolers name and the year on the back of the snowflakes to keep as a memento of their preschool years.

Variations

Make a whole collection of these easy to make snowflakes and give as gifts at Christmas time. Decorate your windows and trees this holiday season.
