What You Need
Printable Calendar TemplateAll Clear CD Jewel Case
Photo of Your Preschooler
Marks, Crayons, Stickers, etc. to decorate the pages and the jewel case
How To Make It
Step One:Print out and trim enough calendar template pages for the year. NOTE: one of the pages is set up with a divide square for “wrap around” months.
Step Two:
Refer to a printed calendar and write in the numbers and months on each page.
Step Three:
Let your preschooler decorate the pages in the blank areas. You can tell them what month it is and what holidays are in that month to give them an idea of what to draw if you want.
Step Four:
Either printout a 5.25” x 4.5” picture of your preschooler or cut a piece of paper that is 5.25” x 4.5” and glue a photo of your preschooler on it. This will be the first page of the calendar and will show through the jewel case when it is closed. You do not have to use a photo, you can write a message and have your preschooler decorate the page.
Step Five:
Pop the plastic insert that holds the CD out of the jewel case. Put all the pages into the jewel case and let your preschooler decorate the outside with permanent markers, ribbon, or other embellishments. Tie with a bow and it’s ready to give as a gift!
Variations
Give it to grandparents and leave the pages blank so every time your preschooler visits he/she can make calendar page for grandma and grandpa. Or, include some stickers and crayons (leave the pages blank) and give it as a gift to preschoolers or other children in the family.Like this article? Get more like it in your inbox.
