Apple Stamp Traffic Light Craft/Poem
This educational Apple Stamp Traffic Light Craft and Poem will help teach your preschooler all about when to stop, go and wait, even if you’re late. It will also reinforce the colors red, green, and yellow. Be sure to have extra paper handy so after the craft project is finished your preschooler can continue to use the apple stamps to create some one of a kind art pieces.What You Need
Yellow and Black Poster BoardRed, Green, and Yellow Paint
Glue Stick
3 Paper Plates
Extra Paper (optional)
How To Make It
Step One:Cut a rectangle out of the yellow poster board. Next cut a rectangle out of the black poster board, slightly smaller than the yellow one. Glue them together.
Step Two:
Put one color of paint onto each paper plate. The supervising adult should cut the apples in half and notch out a “handle.” Place each apple onto the plate with the corresponding color.Step Three:
Have your preschooler load up the apple stamp with paint and make the traffic light. Here is the poem that will teach them where the colors go:
Red on Top
Green Below
Yellow in between, sure to be seen.And here is a version to teach them what the lights mean:
Red means Stop
Green means Go
Yellow means wait, even if you’re late.
Variation
